Cake Saw (Part 3)

Here we have the Cake Saw, a piece I posted on earlier. This is a large piece that takes its cake seriously. Do not confuse this with the Wedding Cake Knife which is actually longer (in most patterns).

As I posted earlier the Master Salt Spoon is much larger than its little brother the Salt Spoon. I still find them delightful pieces, and can usually found in most patterns.

English King by Tiffany

English King is another pattern designed by Charles Grosjean for Tiffany (like Lap over Edge and Chrysanthemum.) Tiffany introduced this pattern 1885. It is a bold but elegant pattern with a scallop shell on the end of the terminal with a floral and acanthus pattern on the top of the stem and on the top of the shoulder.

Wedding Cake Knife

A standard piece found in most patterns, the Wedding Cake Knife is a very large piece designed to do just what its name says. I have seen it referred to as a Cake Saw, but that piece is much more ornate. Typically a wedding cake has a stainless blade and is much longer than the standard Cake Knife.

Ice Cream Server

And, one more serving piece to add to the silver chest, the Ice Cream Server. Most patterns, that have one Ice Cream Server, tend to have it in two sizes, a large and a small.

Orange Spoon (Part 3)

Sometimes referred to  as the Fruit/Orange Spoon, I have posted earlier on the Orange Spoon with its  gold washed and pointed bowl tip. The gold wash protected the sterling from the acidic citrus juices and the tip helped cut through the pulp.
