Gumbo Soup Spoon

Gumbo Soup Spoons are longer than their cousins the Cream Soup and Bouillon, and shorter than the Place Soup Spoon. The bowl is round like the Cream and Bouillon spoons. Just looking at a cream, bouillon, or gumbo soup spoon it would be hard to identify one from another.

Tea Caddy Spoon

The Tea Caddy Spoon was used to dispense the loose tea leaves into the Tea Caddy. It is a relatively small piece, usually 3 1/2 to 5 inches.

Dauphin issued in 1897 by Durgin is an excellent example of the exquisite artistic work this company produced. Yes, it may be too ornate for some people, but there are plenty of simple patterns for them. I'll take the results of these artists' talents any day. This is what makes Durgin one of my favorite sterling companies.

Cheese Scoop

The Cheese Scoop is a delightful piece that can be found in two sizes - large and small. The larger used for scooping cheese from large chunks or pieces when being served - the smaller for serving soft cheeses such as cottage cheese or ricotta.
